most memorable accomplishments
as a band thus far consist of things
like touring with Chimaira, who Joe
tells me have taught them so much
over the years and have become
like big brothers to STEMM. STEMM
was also the direct support band to
Godsmack in their home town, and
are proud to be part of the Jager-
meister Music family as well, which
has given them great exposure.
Sharing the stage with bands like
Stone Sour, Disturbed, Staind and
playing the Rockstar Mayhem Tour.
Their work with the UFC (writing the
theme song) has given them more
publicity and exposure then they
could have imagined. Their label
gives them the independence that
most bands dream of getting when
signing to a label. Joe also said that
they are proud to be able to mix ex-
treme music with such an extreme
sport!
One thing that I personally think
draws people in to this band is
their intense way of connecting
with their fans. This is a band that
can rock down a house whether
there are 5 or 500 people listening.
Each person seems to connect to
the sound and interpret the lyrics

STEMM is a band with extremely
loyal fans. When I asked Joe about
their fans his response was; "Our
fans are insane! Very loyal. There
was a point where we nearly broke
up and they were the only thing that
kept our heads up and gave us the
STEMM
is a four piece band that's been rockin'
out of Bu alo NY for about 6 years now. The masterminds
are Joe Cafarella (lead Vox/Guitar), Steve Crowl (Bass), Dan
Nelligan (Drums), and Alex Scouten (Guitar). They are a hard
rock and metal band that stays close to the roots of Pantera,
Sevendust, Tool, Soul y and other amazing bands that we
have all come to love and respect over the years. The guys
all originally came from death metal and hardcore bands
which was a much
harder, aggressive
sound compared
to what they cur-
rently play. So the
story goes that
when searching
for a name for the
band a friend of
theirs said "It's like
we've `stemmed'
from our musical
roots" and that's
exactly what they
did.
STEMM is pav-
ing the way as
we speak to be-
coming a legend.
